Silver Skate Festival runs events that are safe, fair, and fun for all - for participants, for workers, and volunteers alike. Sometimes we need to make hard decisions that will change the experience for you on race day. Here is what you need to know:

Regardless of anything, we will communicate any changes to you in advance.
Events are scheduled for Monday, February 16, 2025 and will not be postponed to a later date.
In the event that either skate or ski surfaces are unavailable - Silver Skate Festival will change multi-sport events to another format (ie. change the winter triathlon to an ice duathlon or a snow duathlon).

If there are both no safe skating and skiing surfaces, the winter triathlon and ice duathlon will be cancelled.
If the weather is too cold, all events will be cancelled.

Participants have the option to purchase registration insurance for $15.
Registration insurance will transfer registration fees to the 2027 Silver Skate Festival if events must be cancelled. The registration fee will not be refunded but we will make sure to have a race bib ready for you in 2027.
Itès your choice but without registration insurance, registration fees will not be refunded and registrations will not be transferred to a future year.
