National Multiple Sclerosis Society - Finish MS

The National MS Society is a collective of passionate individuals who want to do something about MS now — to move toward a world free of multiple sclerosis. MS stops people from moving. We exist to make sure it doesn't. 

Our mission: We will cure MS while empowering people affected by MS to live their best lives.

Finish MS® is an opportunity for cause-driven athletes to push their own personal limits and challenge themselves physically, while working to create a world free of MS.

Signing up for a marathon event can be scary — but when you join the Finish MS team, not only will you have an enhanced overall event experience, but also have the support of our all-encompassing Society staff starting the moment you register. You focus on fundraising and training for race day — we’ll take care of the rest.

The National MS Society is proud to be returning as a Silver Charity Partner for the 2026 DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon Weekend! 

Registration and fundraising for the Charity Program will take place directly through the DICK'S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon website. When completing the registration form, look for the “Charity Runners Run for Free” section. By selecting the National MS Society as your charity, you’ll become eligible for a refund of your registration fee—essentially earning a free entry! 

To qualify for the refund, charity runners must raise the fundraising minimum outlined below:

• Full Marathon - $500
• Half Marathon - $400
• Back-Half Marathon - $800
• Marathon Relay Team (5 people) - $1,000
• 4-Mile Challenge: $200
• 5K - $150
• Kids Run - $50
