I've decided to Run for a Reason for my second Pittsburgh Marathon, raising money for Three Rivers Waterkeeper!

Our rivers are the the best part of Pittsburgh! I am proud to support this organization as it directly helps our friends, family and neighbors!

Your donation stays directly in Pittsburgh, funding..

- Boat Patrols to catch polluters in the act.

- Scientific Lab Tests to check for forever chemicals (PFAS)!

- Legal Action to assist with taking companies/polluters to court.

The Three Rivers Waterkeeper group really makes a difference! The organization is part of the global Waterkeeper Alliance. They use the same processes as 300+ other organizations!

If you live near the Mon, the Allegheny, or the Ohio River- their work directly helps you and your neighbors! They track toxins, investigate and provide data regarding our water to let us know if our water is drinkable, fishable and swimmable! In Feb 2026, Three Rivers Waterkeeper organization announced their intent to sue US Steel over oil discharges! Water is a basic human right - it should be be safe, affordable and accessible to all residents of Allegheny County. I'm running the marathon to help raise money for just that.
