Hello everyone!

This year, Katrina and I are proud to join in as charity runners for the Amputee Aid Foundation — in honor of someone very near and dear to my heart… my dad, Ron Humberson.

The Amputee Aid Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring hope, independence, and dignity for amputees by providing free prosthetic devices, essential supplies, funding, career support, and advocacy to those who lack financial means or insurance coverage. Their mission is to help individuals regain mobility and rebuild their lives, and it is one that means the world to our family.

Each year, my cousin Katrina and I tackle the Pittsburgh Half Marathon, soaking in the energy of the spectators, the signs, and the beauty of our incredible city. It’s an experience we come back for again and again. But this year, we had a special mission…

We wanted someone who always supports us with the most cheerful and optimistic attitude to join us for all 13.1 miles — my dad!

For those who may not know, my dad lost both legs in 2018 and is now a double amputee. The road to recovery was long, and there were moments when we weren’t sure what life would look like again. But through unwavering positivity and relentless perseverance, Ron has faced life head-on, never backing down from a challenge or home improvement project he couldn't tackle.

So this year, we’re making that moment even more special.

In May 2026, Ron will accompany us through the Pittsburgh Half Marathon in an adaptive jogger. As a team, we will push him throughout the city so he can experience firsthand what it feels like to be part of a race... the energy, the determination, and the unforgettable runner’s high as we cross the finish line together.
