My Story…
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page! My personal connection to ALS and motivation to fundraise stems from my grandmother, Carole Hlad. My grandma was diagnosed with PLS (Primary Lateral Sclerosis) many years ago, which is also a motor neuron disease and in the same family as ALS. Over the years, I have seen this impact her ability to move, talk, and freedom to complete mundane tasks that many of us take for granted.
It is truly such a blessing to be able to move our bodies, push ourselves further and try new challenges. That is why I am choosing to complete the Pittsburgh Half Marathon! To honor our ability to move and to further fundraise to support research, quality care, and advocacy for neurological diseases such as ALS and PLS. Please consider donating & I am forever grateful.
Thank you!
Amanda
