500
As someone who grew up with food insecurity, I cannot begin to emphasize how important it is to know where your next meal is coming from. Even the smallest amount can make a difference in sleep, school performance, stress, and just overall life choices.
For this year's marathon, I'm choosing to support the Greater Pittsburgh Community Foodbank. They are an incredible organization, and they work to make sure even the smallest donation can go a long way in providing nutritious meals to those who need them. I feel strongly enough about supporting them that I have already donated my race entry myself (on top of my yearly recurring donations). My goal is to raise $1000, which will provide up to 3000 meals for neighbors facing hunger right here in southwestern PA. Every contribution, big or small, moves us closer to a community where no one has to worry about their next meal.
In addition, for each person or family who donates to me, I will donate an extra $5 to Casa San Jose.
If you are able, please consider supporting me in making this next marathon even more meaningful by helping to provide meals for our community!
Description
With your support, we can ensure that none of our neighbors go to bed hungry. For every $1 donated, the Food Bank can provide up to 3 nutritious meals for our neighbors in need. Every dollar brings us one step closer to a hunger-free community! Thank you in advance for your support.
