My Story…
My name is Lilee and I developed a passion for running in early 2024. There was a time were I disliked running, mostly because I didn’t believe it was something I could ever be good at. Over time, I realized that running is a marathon not a sprint - it requires patience, consistency, and showing up for yourself everyday. Through that process, it became more than exercise; it became a way to better understand myself and grow stronger both mentally and physically.
This is my second year running the PGH Half Marathon and my second year running in support of the Alzheimer’s Association. Late last year, my grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and dementia, making this cause even more personal to me. I choose to run for this cause to raise support and awareness for those impacted by Alzheimer’s and I dedicate this fundraising and running to my gram Minnie.
