Raise money for Primary Purpose Center
Primary Purpose Center is a 501(c)3 formed in December 2014 and opened its doors on November 17th, 2016. We provide level 2 & level 3 supportive recovery housing to individuals in Lorain County with substance use disorder at no cost to the resident. We have 88 beds across three locations in Lorain County for individuals looking for a safe & structured recovery experience.
Our level 3 60-day program consists of 7+ hours of programming Monday-Friday including off-site IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program), 12 step groups, peer recovery support, and religious services. We provide all meals with a full time cook (120+ a day), all the residents basic needs (hygiene, washer/ dryer + detergent), and clothes if needed.
On average, we serve 300 residents annually in our Level 3 program. In 2025, 65% of residents successfully completed the Level 3 program, with less than 1% relapsing. Over 60% of residents transitioned to the Level 2 program, where 80% successfully completed the program. The average length of stay for Level 2 residents is 11 months.
Primary Purpose Center is the only recovery housing organization in the state accredited by both ORH and CARF, holding us to the highest standards for a safe and structured resident experience.
