Across Canada, 1 in 4 people live in a food-insecure household. In Hamilton alone, there are over 18,900 visits to local food banks every month, and 34% of those seeking help are children.
For more than 30 years, Hamilton Food Share has been the central hub in a city-wide network of hunger relief, moving nutritious food through 22 hunger-relief programs across the greater Hamilton region. Together, these programs provide over 26,000 hot meals and snacks each month to our neighbours in need.
By connecting food donors, community partners, and front-line programs, Hamilton Food Share ensures that support reaches every corner of the city — helping families, seniors, and individuals who need it most.
Every $1 provides $5 worth of healthy food for our community. Your support helps ensure that no one in Hamilton goes hungry.
Non-perishable food items will also be collected at the race!
