Foothills Academy Society

Since 1979, Foothills Academy Society has supported those with Learning Diagnoses and/or ADHD. 

Our programs primarily support children, youth and their families, however we provide programs across all ages. We understand the difficulties and challenges facing those we serve and their families, be it academic, social, emotional/behavioural, or financial. At Foothills Academy Society, we create and deliver all of our programs supported by our three core values;

Foothills Academy Society provides wrap-around services for the community, primarily for children, teens, and young adults who are diagnosed with Learning Disabilities and/or ADHD. Our programs include:

• School Program - Foothills Academy School is a Designated Special Education Private School for students in grades 3 to 12, all of whom have diagnosed Learning Disabilities. 
• Read/Write & Math Intervention - Individual and small group remediated literacy and numeracy programs.
  
• Psychological Services & Programs - psychoeducational assessments, individual and family counselling, youth group programming, parent support groups, and young adult transition programs
• Amicus Camps & Recreation - specialized low-ratio programs focused on social skills development through Camp Amicus (including day camp, overnight camp, therapeutic horsemanship programming, teen leadership programming, and teen to adult transition programming), as well as year-round recreational programs
• Professional Development & Community Education - psychologist-led professional development  and parent education courses and workshops (in-person and online)

We currently serve almost 3000 clients and their families as well as professionals a year through our community services program and over 300 students through our school program.
