Join Team Make-A-Wish and Help Grant Life-Changing Wishes

At Make-A-Wish Southern Alberta, we believe every child deserves hope, strength, and joy—even in the toughest of times. This year, we’re working to grant 111 wishes for children living with critical illnesses across our region, and we’d love your support.

When you join Team Make-A-Wish or support a team member, your impact is immediate. Every dollar raised goes directly to granting wishes—whether it’s I wish to be, I wish to go, I wish to have, I wish to meet, or I wish to give.

Currently, in Southern Alberta, over 184 children are waiting for their wish, with more referred every day. Support from people like you makes it possible for us to continue granting life-changing wishes for children facing critical illnesses.

ABOUT MAKE-A-WISH

Make-A-Wish® is the world’s leading wish-granting organization, serving children with critical illnesses across Canada by granting their most heartfelt wishes.

Our goal is to bring every eligible child’s wish to life. A wish is a personalized journey that inspires the child, engages their family, and brings hope and joy to everyone involved.

In 2025, Make-A-Wish Canada granted wishes to children in 697 communities nationwide—an average of five wishes per day, all year long.

Impact of a Wish:

• 90% of wish parents said the experience was an essential part of their child’s medical treatment, improved their child’s emotional well-being, and positively impacted the family.

• 100% of medical practitioners said wishes improve a child’s overall quality of life, provide a turning point in treatment, and positively influence their work and relationships with families.

Every year, nearly 6,000 more children in Canada are diagnosed with a critical illness, creating new opportunities for hope.
