Making Changes Association (MCA) empowers women and teen girls to move forward with confidence, independence, and purpose. When barriers stand in the way of employment, education, or stability, we step in with support that creates real change.
Through five free programs, we provide professional clothing, skills training, resources, and a strong community for women of all ages, backgrounds, and life stages. Since 1981, MCA has been a trusted part of Calgary’s women-helping-women network, supporting those re-entering the workforce, navigating life as newcomers, or rebuilding after unexpected challenges.
Our impact is tangible. During the last fiscal year, we supported over 3,100 clients, made possible by the dedication of volunteers who contributed 12,375 hours of direct client support. These numbers reflect thousands of moments of guidance, encouragement, and opportunity.
We welcome all who identify as women and believe every journey is unique. Alongside 100+ community partners, 250+ volunteers, and generous donors, we help women build confidence, create opportunities, and shape brighter futures—for themselves, their families, and our city.
