My Story…
On May 23rd, I will be participating in the Servus Calgary Marathon to raise funds for Spinal Cord Injury Alberta (SCI AB), an organization that is very important to me. What do you do after you go through a spinal cord injury (SCI) or other physical disability in Alberta? You turn to SCI AB. Find hope. Connect. Start rebuilding together to achieve independence and full community participation! When I first found myself paralyzed over 40 years ago, SCI AB was there for me every step of the way. When SCI happens, life changes! Suddenly, little things like eating and dressing can become a challenge. Dreams are replaced with overwhelming uncertainty. For over 50 years, SCI AB has been empowering people with SCI to adjust, adapt, and thrive. What do you do after you go through a spinal cord injury (SCI) or other physical disability in Alberta? You turn to SCI AB. Find hope. Connect. Start rebuilding together to achieve independence.
