The 12th Annual New Year’s Resolution Run 5k & 10k presented by Hunter Subaru is January 1, 2026 at 10am!
What better way to celebrate the start of a new year than running in the heart of downtown Asheville? The race course takes you through the bustling streets of downtown and charming neighborhoods, including the Grove Park area on the 10k route. And, of course, we’ve saved the best for last! The course will take you up North Market Street, the only remaining block of unique, historic, cobblestone brick pavers in Asheville for an exciting finish.
We welcome families and participants of all ages to come walk or run their way to completing their first resolution! Bring warm layers of clothes, lace up your shoes, and make 2026 a year of intention, inner strength and power!

Pre-Event Shipping Option
Avoid stress and skip the lines at packet pickup with the pre-event shipping option! Your sweatshirt and bib will be shipped to you approximately 1 1/2 to two weeks before the event, so all you have to do is show up, ready to run. This option is available for $15 either during registration or from the Race Store, through December 7th at midnight. PLEASE NOTE: The shipment will go to the address you register with. If you need to update that address, please email us at support@idaph.net.

Help Support the Homeless Community!
We're excited to welcome our returning non-profit partner back to the New Year's Resolution Run p/b Hunter Subaru!
Least of These Asheville is a homeless ministry founded by a Montreat College student in 2005. They serve breakfast and give out snack sacks to the homeless community of Asheville every Saturday morning in downtown, regardless of the weather! As a nonprofit, they run with the support of volunteers and donations! Donate when you register or through their fundraising page. Thank you for supporting their efforts to care for our homeless community!
Here's how your donation can help:
- $40 - Coffee for Saturday
- $70 - Snacks for 40 guests
- $85 - Sandwiches for 40 guests
- $100 - Breakfast for a Saturday
- $300 - Total cost of a Saturday
In addition to monetary donations, we are also collecting winter accessories to keep the homeless warm throughout the winter months. If you'd like to help, please bring your donations to packet pickup at Hilton Garden Inn Asheville Downtown (309 College St, Asheville, NC 28801), Wednesday, December 31st from 1:00 - 3:00pm and drop them in the collection bin, or bring them on race day and drop them at their tent after the race!
