Our story…
This last few years have been some of the hardest years of my life so far. As it turns out I have been fighting a battle within myself that I really never wanted to accept or challenge myself to take on. Recently it’s come to a point where change was needed in order to break the cycle of Depression and Anxiety in my life.
I am so fortunate to have the most amazing people surrounding me and once I acknowledged that I needed help they were there for me. I can’t thank all of them enough at this point in my life.
So with the money that is raised it will be getting split evenly between two mental health programs. Blue Tree Project which is run out of WA and the Black Dog Institute.
Coming from the mining industry I find it can be a bit of an awkward conversation talking about mental health. I pray in the future that it becomes easier for everyone to understand it’s ok to talk about it and ask for help.
Because help is always there.
