My Story…
Running the TC 10 miler will be a challenge, but it pales in comparison to the quiet courage required to navigate life with epilepsy. I am running this race on Oct 4 to honor my son, whose strength and resilience inspires me every single day, and for everyone walking this unpredictable path.
Epilepsy is so much more than a medical condition. For a child, it can mean sudden fear, missed moments, and feeling isolated from their peers. For parents and families, it means restless nights, constant vigilance, and the overwhelming desire to shield the person you love most from something completely out of your control. It impacts entire households, stretching hearts and resilience to their limits.
As a parent and a proud Board Member of the Epilepsy Foundation of Minnesota (EFMN), I stand by EFMN’s vision to empower and support individuals and families affected by seizures through support, connection, education, and advocacy. I see the hope it restores when people realize they don't have to navigate this journey alone.
The money you donate directly funds vital research, creates supportive community programs, and provides educational resources that make schools, workplaces, and neighborhoods safer and more inclusive. We are not just raising funds; we are building a stronger, more compassionate community for our children and future generations.
Please consider supporting my 10-mile run with a donation today. Your support means so much!
