The award -winning Bartlett Parks and Recreation Department encompasses 959 acres of stunning parkland that ranges from beautiful, pristine parks to wild, natural hiking trails. The park system serves the thriving City of Bartlett and its 58,242 residents, making it the 10th largest city in Tennessee. Due to Bartlett’s success in creating an exceptional quality of life, an awarding-winning school district, a safe community and new housing inventory, young families are expected to continue to lead the community in sustained growth into the coming decades.

That is why the City of Bartlett and the Parks and Recreation Board established the Bartlett Parks Foundation Fund in 2016 as a tool to ensure that the beautiful, diverse and irreplaceable park lands can be maintained and enhanced for generations to come. Imagine new parks, public art in our parks, creative amenities, extended greenways and trails, etc. We are only limited by our imaginations through the creation of this 501(c)(3) tax exempt fund. Your tax exempt donation to the fund can be designated for a specific program, campaign or to the general Parks Foundation.

Bartlett Parks and Recreation is certainly about picturesque and thrilling trails as well as fun neighborhood parks. It is also about the Singleton Community Center that offers pre-school and summer camps for our young residents and home schoolers. It’s about the Bartlett Recreation Center that offers recreational and fitness programs including an indoor pool, 2 basketball courts, racquetball courts, and a splash pad along with a full range of cardio and strength training equipment for all ages. And, Bartlett Parks and Recreation is also about the Bartlett Senior Center which offers unique programming for the area’s active 50+ population in the form of classes, trips, an exercise room, library, billiards room and numerous special events throughout the year. Additionally, our parks provide the ideal backdrop for many of Bartlett’s signature festivals and special events throughout the year — many sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Department.

So whether your interests are those of a serious competitor or a more passive participant interested in learning, the Bartlett Parks and Recreation Department offers something for everyone no matter your age. With the work of the Bartlett Parks Foundation, these offerings will only continue to grow.
