Help Alanna raise money

I wasn't planning to fundraise for this race until I saw the official charity was the Banff YWCA, which provides community services and supporting programming for those impacted by violence. As a child psychology graduate student, I've learned firsthand the disproportionate impacts of violence on children and families. According to the Government of Alberta, an estimated 1.8 million Albertans have experienced sexual violence in their lifetime. That is 45% of Alberta’s population – almost one in every 2 people. Additionally, rates of violence can be up to 75% higher in rural compared to urban areas and disproportionately impact women and girls. The YWCA provides essential community education and prevention services, as well as, affordable housing and counselling for people experiencing domestic or sexual violence in the Bow Valley.
