My Story…

Over 10 years ago, I taught my brother, James Gansen, how to backfloat, blow bubbles, and dive during summer school swim lessons.

Now the time has come for him to prove himself.

If he can swim 2.1 miles across Lake Superior, I will finally pass him out of level 6!!!

Support our open water swim from Bayfield, WI to Madeline Island! I was lucky enough to participate in the 2025 swim, and now James will be joining me for 2026. Fundraising helps guarantee our spot for 2026 and supports programs for youth, adults, families, and seniors to swim, sail, and be safe around water in the Bayfield area.
