Help Pamela raise money

 After lung cancer, colorectal ( bowel) cancer is the second  leading cause of death in Canada. My own family has been impacted by colorectal cancer.  One sister passed away at only 38 years of age.  More recently another is currently entering her second year of treatment.  Cancer treatment whether radiation,  chemotherapy, surgeries, immunotherapy etc affects patients and their families in physical, emotional, social and financial ways. 

I feel  there is a need to raise awareness of the prevalence of colorectal cancer and screening programmes as well as to promote prevention through nutrition and  lifestyle choices at a young age. 

Colorectal Cancer Resource and Action Network (CCRN) provides support, education and advocacy  to Canadians. Any funds raised will go to CCRN .

My goal is to walk at least 5 km each day for the next 4 months beginning February 1st and then participate in the Virtual Vancouver 5 km event on May 31st.

I hope that by making this commitment I will bring more awareness to the disease and that some of my family and friends will support a worthy cause by making a donation. Thank you.
