Volunteer - Welcome
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Toronto Carnival Run.
Our volunteers are key to the success of this event.
Volunteer Hours
Race Kit Pickup (TBC)
Thursday July 23 - 2 Shifts Available - 7:30AM-1:30PM / 1:30PM-7:30PM
Friday July 24 - 2 Shifts Available- 8:30AM-1:00PM / 1:00PM-8:30PM
Course Set up
Friday July 24 - 11:00AM - 4:00PM
Race Day (Sir Casimir Gzowski Park, 2001 Lake Shore Blvd W, Toronto, ON M8V 4E9)
Set up and Race Execution Crew - Saturday July 25 - 5:30AM - 10:00AM
Take Down/Clean up Crew - Saturday July 25 - 10:00AM - 3:00PM
Role Descriptions
Course Marshals: direct participants along route, ensure their safety and provide motivation
Course Set Up: set up signage and cones along route
Post Event Take Down/Clean Up - take down signage, cones and clean up route
Lead/Sweep Cyclist (must have own bicycle): lead participants through route and monitor
Party Site - Baggage Check: collect and distribute baggage drop off
Party Site - Registration: set up/take down registration booth, distribute race kits, handle inquires and changes to registrations onsite
Party Site - Start/Finish Line: set up finish water, guides participants through start/finish. Assist with general party site set up and take down.
Race Kit Pick up: assembly of race kits and distribution to participants
Water Station Marshals: set up water station and distribute water to participants
We strive to assign you to your selected role, but may reassign you based on event needs.
Volunteer Orientation
A MANDATORY virtual volunteer orientation meeting will take place within 2 weeks prior to the event. Lead/Sweep Cyclists are required to attend an onsite meeting.
