At Carmens Group, caring for people is at the heart of everything we do. As a hospitality company rooted in Hamilton, we believe our role goes beyond hosting celebrations and bringing people together. It means showing up for our community when it matters most.
Team Carmens Group is proud to support St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton through the Around the Bay Road Race. St. Joe’s has been caring for Hamilton families for generations, providing essential services, advancing research, and investing in innovative medical technology that improves lives across our city.
Our team is led by our CEO and Community Champion for the Bay Race, PJ Mercanti. It's supported by employees, family members, and friends who are coming together to raise funds and awareness for a hospital that means so much to so many in our community. That's why we are running, walking, and fundraising to support urgent equipment needs at St. Joe's.

Welcome to our team fundraising page!
This year we’re taking on the Around the Bay Road Race and raising funds for St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation. St. Joe’s is the heart of Hamilton — so many people in our lives have been touched by the exceptional care provided here.
Funds raised through Around the Bay will buy much‑needed healthcare equipment at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. It may seem surprising that items like ultrasound machines, wheelchairs, and other essential devices aren’t covered by provincial operating dollars. The truth is nearly every piece of equipment used in the Hospital is funded by donations from people like you and events like the Bay Race.
Please know that the money you help our team raise has a real, immediate impact on the lives of patients at St. Joe’s. Your support buys the tools clinicians use every day to diagnose, treat, and comfort our neighbours.
