What is Moon in June?
Moon in June is a family-friendly evening race held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the WFCU Centre in Windsor, Ontario. Participants can choose from a 5K Run/Walk, Kids 1K Run, or Kids 200m Dash.
The event supports the W.E. Care for Kids Foundation, with proceeds helping fund pediatric healthcare programs throughout Windsor and Essex County.

What is included with registration?
Every registered participant receives:
- 5K chip-timed bib or Kids race bib

5K participants are also eligible for:
- Overall awards (Top 3 Male & Female)

Is the 5K timed?
Yes. The 5K Run/Walk is professionally chip timed.
Can I transfer my registration?
Yes. Bib transfers are permitted until midnight on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.
Are refunds available?
No. Registration fees are non-refundable.

When and where is race kit pickup?
Race kits can be picked up at:

Pickup times:
- Thursday, June 11: 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Friday, June 12: 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday, June 13: 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Please note:
- Race kits will not be available at the event venue.
- No packet pickup is available from the Walker Road location.
Race Day
What is the event schedule?
- 6:45 p.m. – Kids 200m Dash
- 6:55 p.m. – Kids 1K Run
- 7:10 p.m. – 5K Run/Walk
Where does the race start and finish?
All races begin and finish at the WFCU Centre and utilize the Ganatchio Trail. The Kids races follow out-and-back courses.
Will there be food after the race?
Yes! Registered participants can enjoy complimentary refreshments provided by event sponsors, including Tim Hortons, Capri Pizzeria, Pure Flavor, and Hyena Brew Company.

Fundraising
Who does the event support?
Moon in June raises funds for the W.E. Care for Kids Foundation, helping provide specialized pediatric equipment, programs, and care throughout Windsor and Essex County.
Can I fundraise to earn free registration?
Yes.
Participants who raise $200 or more in pledges will receive a refund of their registration fee after pledges have been processed.
Additional fundraising incentives include:
- $400 – Tim Hortons Gift Basket
- $750 – $150 Running Factory Gift Card
- $1,000 – Free pair of Brooks running shoes
