Raise money for Ashwabay Outdoor Education Foundation
Each year, Madeline Island Marathon chooses a local charity to support, in order to promote health in the Chequamegon Bay Area. For our 2026 event, we are proud to have chosen Ashwabay Alliance. The Ashwabay Alliance, a 501(c)3, Ashwabay Outdoor Education Foundation (AOEF) was established in 2002 to provide year-round opportunities and programs to people of all ages promoting the enjoyment of the outdoors.
The Ashwabay Alliance promotes a healthy and strong community. The Alliance wants to create opportunities for citizens to participate in, and contribute to, the outdoor culture of the region. With Ashwabay Recreation Area as the base for activities, the Foundation has an outstanding venue for healthful recreation that enhances physical fitness. As a family-oriented, community-based organization, the Alliance promotes high standards of fair play and sportsmanship.
