Entry fees
We are pleased to offer reduced entry fees for to those with Australian Health Care Cards, and to entrants who will be aged under 18 on event day.
- Geelong Half Marathon: $80 till 31st Dec 2025, then $90
- Geelong Half Marathon Australian Pensioner Card and Health Care Card Holder or under 18: $60 till 31st Dec 2025, then $70
- 5 km Run: $35 until 31st Dec 2025, then $40
- 5 km Run Australian Health Care Card Holder or under 18: $27 until 31st Dec 2025, then $32
Age limits
While we are actively encourage young runners, for safety reasons, we must insist that all runners be aged 16 or more on race day for the Geelong Half Marathon and 12 years or more for the 5 km Run.
What is the last day I can enter?
Entries will close at noon on Friday 10th April 2026 or earlier if the maximum number has been reached prior to this date.
No entries will be taken after noon on Friday 10th April or on the day of the event.
To ensure your safety and enjoyment, the field for the Geelong Half Marathon have been limited to 850 runners.
What are my options if the event sells out?
If the event sells out you will be able to join a waitlist by paying the full entry fee. If a place becomes available you will then be transferred into the event and you will receive a new confirmation email.
If no spot becomes available your entry fee will be refunded in full by 25th April 2026.
How do I get my event bib?
If you enter by 15th March 2026, you can choose to have your event bib posted to you for a charge of $8.00. (Bibs will be posted out during the week starting 16th March.) You will not need to check in to our Information tent before start time.
For everyone else, to collect your event bib, come to the Information tent at the start/finish area, either between 3 pm and 5 pm on Saturday 11th April or on event morning, from 6:30 am.
What if my event bib does not arrive in the post?
If your event bib does NOT arrive in time, for a replacement bib, come to the Information tent at the start/finish area, either between 3 pm and 5 pm on Saturday 11th April or on event morning, from 6:30 am.
What is the refund policy?
Refunds are no longer available from the event organiser. However, during the registration you have the opportunity to purchase refund protection through the Race Roster Enhanced Refund Protection Program. For more information on the Program please click HERE.
If we are forced to cancel the event, your entry fee will be refunded in full, and if we are forced to postpone the event, your entry fee will be carried over to the new date.
Can I defer my entry to a later year?
Sorry – we do not allow deferrals.
Can I change between the Half Marathon and the 5 km Run?
Yes, this can be done by clicking on "Transfer" in Race Roster, at no extra charge, up until midday on the 15th March, 2026.
After this, please contact us on halfmarathon@gccc.au. There is a $15 administration fee for changing events after 15th March, 2026. This fee will be deducted from your refund if you are changing down to the 5 km or added to the extra charge if you are moving up to the Half Marathon.
Can I transfer my registration to another runner?
Yes, this can be done clicking on "Transfer" in Race Roster, at no extra charge, up until midday on the 15th March, 2026.
After this, please contact us on halfmarathon@gccc.au. There is a $15 administration fee for transfers after 15th March, 2026.
