Not a runner? Hibernate at Home while still supporting the Zoo! All registered participants will receive a Zoo Move & Groove shirt and have the option to purchase a commemorative medal and/or additional shirts for $16 each.

Your participation in our Zoo Move & Groove 5K not only supports our local conservation efforts, but also helps care for the thousands of animals who call the Zoo home.

Zoo Move & Groove is an exclusive fundraising event. All proceeds benefit the non-profit Phoenix Zoo.

PARKING

Parking is available for free at the Zoo, but please note that between Zoo daytime attendance and Zoo Move & Groove registrants, some attendees may be directed to our overflow Municipal stadium lot on Van Buren and Priest.

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICK UP

The packet pick-up tent opens at 4 p.m. Online registration will close at 4:30 p.m. For those who have not picked up their packets yet, you may do so prior to the race beginning at the Solutions tent in the Papago Parking Lot, near the Start Line.

Zoo Move & Groove 5K is for all ages and ability levels and both runners and walkers are welcome.

START

The 5K will start in Papago park at 5 p.m. We ask that those with strollers and slower runners/walkers start towards the back of the pack.

To ensure the safety of all runners we will close the start line shortly after the last runner crosses the line, which will be around 5:20pm. Late arrival may mean you can’t participate in the race. Your bib will still allow you into ZooLights.

Your race bib must be pinned, visible and worn on the front and outside of all clothing during the entire race. Your race bib is non-transferable and may only be worn by you. The timing tag on your race bib (activated as you cross the start line mats) is your entry into ZooLights after completing the race.

AWARDS & TIMES

Final race times will be available on screens near the Finish Line and awards will be announced and posted at Lakeside once the race comes to an end. Awards will be given for the top 3 finishers. Prizes may be picked up the night of the race at the Raffle Booth at Lakeside.

If you have decided you would like a commemorative medal or additional shirts for yourself or loved ones, we will be selling additional race shirts and medals after the race. There is a limited quantity, so get them before they are gone.
