Help Radcliffe Creek School by VOLUNTEERING at the Run for Radcliffe!
The Annual Chestertown Tea Party Distance Classic Race and Run for Radcliffe wouldn't be possible without your support! This event touches hundreds of people, and we're looking for volunteers who can come out to support us on Friday, May 22, and Saturday, May 23. You can sign up for multiple slots. Please just ensure they don't cross over one another. Our needs for this event are:
Friday, May 22, 2026, at Radcliffe Creek School
Pre-Registration Packet Pick-Up and On-Site Registration (6 volunteers)
- 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm - Helping the Run for Radcliffe participants get checked in for the race and providing them with their registration info, bib, race shirt, etc.
Water Stop Prep (3 volunteers)
- Anytime after dismissal - Filling up the large water coolers to prepare the water for the race the next day
Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Wilmer Park
Pre-Registration Packet Pick-Up and On-Site Registration (6 volunteers)
- 6:30 am to 8:00 am - Helping the Run for Radcliffe participants get checked in for the race and providing them with their registration info, bib, race shirt, etc.
Water Stop Drop Offs (4 volunteers)
- 6:30 am - Driving the large water coolers, cups, trash bags, and signage to the four water stops located throughout the course.
Pre-Race Photo Station (1 volunteer)
- 6:45 am to 7:45 am - Taking pictures for race participants before the race.
- 7:45 am to 8:15 am - Taking pictures of the pre-race remarks and of the start of the races.
4 Water Stations (24 volunteers)
- 7:30 am to 10:30 am - Running one of the water tables (four stations total with 6 volunteers at each), cleaning up cups/trash, and cheering on the runners as they go by! Water stations will be split up evenly. If you sign up and are a part of a group, please email llivingston@radcliffecreekschool.org to let me know which group, and I can place you accordingly.
Face Painting Station (1 volunteer)
- 8:00 am to 11:00 am - While the racers are out, we hope that families will stop by and have their faces painted!
Post-Race Concessions (3 volunteers)
- 9:00 am to 11:30 am - After the runners finish, we'll hand out snacks like water, bananas, apples, and granola bars to them.
Post-Race Beer Truck (3 volunteers)
- 9:00 am to 11:30 am - After the runners finish, they will have the opportunity to enjoy a nice cold beverage. (Must be 21+ to sign up.)
Awards Support (handing out) (3 volunteers)
- 9:00 am to 10:00 am - We will be handing out the awards and announcing the winners. We plan to have all of the awards handed out from both races by 10:00 am, so people can go and enjoy the parade that begins at 10:00 am.
Post-Race Pictures and Awards (2 volunteers)
- 9:00 am - 10:00 am - Taking pictures of the award ceremony (1) and of the winners on the podium (1)
Pictures of Race (on the course, during the race) (4 volunteers)
- 8:00 am - 9:45 am - Taking pictures along the route of the race to capture our runners doing their thing.
RCS Activities & Crafts (6 volunteers)
- 8:00 am - 11:00 am - Support at the RCS Activities and Crafts tables to run the crafts, monitor the activities (Jenga, Connect 4, Uno, Twister).
Master of Ceremonies (1 volunteer)
- 7:00 am - 11:00 am - Being the voice of the day with announcements before the race as well as during the awards ceremonies. Running the music in between announcements.
