My Story…
Hi, My name is Akira, I am 11 years old and on February 8, 2026 I will be running 5 km in my first ever running event.
I’m running for the quiet kids who are watching. I'm running for the loud ones who think violence is strength. I'm running for young people who haven't got the right role models in their lives.
That’s why I’m running 5km in the Carlton Run for Respect.
The Carlton Respects program is changing lives in schools all across Victoria. With your compassion and kindness, it can reach even more children before patterns become hurtful actions in the future that can't be undone.
Every donation is an act of generosity which fuels more conversations, more turning points, and more children choosing respect for themselves and each other over violence.
That means safer future homes for women and children.
Let’s stop violence before it starts.
My goal is $1 raised for every metre I run to really give meaning to every step I make. Every small donation will make an impact.
Thanks for your support and being the difference.
Akira.
