Help Macy raise money

Hello! Connor (my boyfriend) and I (Macy) are sharing this fundraising page to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society!  

Cancer has touched both of our families, and we know firsthand how difficult the journey can be; not only for the person fighting, but also for the family and friends who support and love them.

Connor’s dad beat cancer a few years ago, and we are endlessly grateful for his health. He is a great husband, an amazing dad to his three children, a devoted cat‑dad, and of course a fur-granddad to two dogs. Although that chapter of his life was frightening and challenging, he is now enjoying a happy semi-retired life.

My grandpa faced cancer for many years and continued to show so much strength and resilience until the end. He passed away almost two years ago, and we miss him so much. We hold close the memories we shared with him and think about him every day. My grandparents were able to enjoy a few last trips together, and now, even though he is gone, my grandma continues to bring him along on her adventures in her own special way. He also makes sure to send us signs showing that he is still here with us in his own ways.

For this upcoming half-marathon, we are fundraising in honour of the family members we love; those who fought, those who are continuing to fight, those who beat cancer, those who support throughout, and those who are now watching over us. We also want to support others who are facing the unfortunate challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis.
