About the Cause
Street Saviours Outreach Society is a grassroots, secular, all-volunteer non-profit organization made up of a diverse group of community advocates, licensed first responders, individuals in recovery, and healthcare professionals.
Since 2016, our core work has focused on providing emergency overdose response and first aid for people in crisis after most services have closed, helping fill a vital gap in support.
We also support basic needs by offering food, water, socks, and other harm-reduction supplies, including naloxone kits.
Our goal is to maintain a steady, supportive presence in the Downtown Eastside and to be available to help connect individuals with community resources.
Additionally, we act as a trusted point of contact for families by circulating information to assist in locating missing loved ones.
