The Great Noosa Trail Walk
Join us over the long weekend, Saturday 3 October to Monday 5 October 2026, for the Great Noosa Trail Walk — a three-day, self-guided 56km walking experience through the rolling hills, forests, and country towns of the Noosa Hinterland, known locally as Noosa Country.
This is not a race, but a relaxed journey designed to be enjoyed at your own pace. Walkers travel independently along a clearly marked route, supported by friendly volunteer Trail Guides who share local knowledge and ensure a welcoming atmosphere along the trail.
We take care of the logistics so you can focus on the experience. Luggage is transported daily between trail towns, allowing you to walk light and fully enjoy the natural beauty of the region. Each day includes route briefings and official event maps to keep you well prepared. The walk is spread comfortably across three days:
Saturday: approx 20km, easing into the journey
Sunday: approx 24km, with scenic hinterland views
Monday: approx 10km, finishing in Pomona
Along the way, walkers enjoy selected morning and afternoon tea stops, hosted by local community groups and featuring local produce. At overnight locations, toilet and shower facilities are provided, and campground fees are included for those staying at official event campsites. Evenings offer light entertainment and access to community dinners (optional and pay as you go), creating a relaxed and social end to each day.
Participants may camp at pre-arranged event campsites, with luggage (including packed tents) transported daily by us, or choose to organise their own accommodation in each trail town — a great opportunity to experience local B&Bs and farm stays.
A one-day hike option is also available for those wanting a shorter experience.
