Prepare yourself for the ultimate endurance challenge: a race like no other. At the Gold Coast Backyard Ultra you’ll venture out on a 6.71 km loop or “yard” - which begins every hour, on the hour. You must complete the loop within the hour. If you don’t start, or don’t finish within the hour, or choose to stop - you’re out. The race only ends when you decide it does and you are the last person standing.

Why this race is special:

• You’re battling your own endurance, your own limits, and the clock.

• The loop is a varied one: you’ll run on road, grass, trail and beach, so you’ll need to be prepared for a bit of everything.

• Elevation is modest (about 16 m up / 19 m down) but with the varied terrain it keeps you engaged.
