Race Day Information and Packet Pick-Up Details
We are grateful for your participation in this race that supports the ministry of Grace Place. As the race date approaches, we want to share essential details to ensure you have a smooth and enjoyable experience. Rain or shine, we will be there, with art sales, silent auction and tours of Grace Place available.
Anyone who registers after 7 P.M. on Thursday, April 9, will not receive their bib until Race Day morning. Online registration closes Friday, April 10, at 7 P.M. Onsite registration will be available on the day of the race starting at 7 A.M.
First, you may be asking "What is a BLOCK WALK?" If you are not up for a 5k, have no fear! The Block Walk is a walk around the block that Galloway sits on. Still not up for a walk around the block? Come on out to enjoy the art sale, tours, fellowship and support the ministry!
Parking Information
Friday, April 10, 2026 - Packet Pick-Up:
- You can use the parking lot located between the church offices and Grace Place.
- There is also a lot directly across the street from Galloway Sanctuary available for your convenience.
- On-street parking is free after 5 PM and on the weekend.
Saturday, April 11, 2026 - Race Day:
- The lot between the buildings will be blocked off, but on-street parking is available.
- You can also park at St. Peter’s Church and the Republican Party offices.
Race Times
- 5K and Block Walk begin at 8 am.
Packet Pick-Up
- Friday, April 10, 2026: 4 PM - 7 PM at Grace Place.
- Saturday, April 11, 2026: Prior to the race, starting at 7 AM.
Awards and Post-Race Activities
- Art sale and Foundery tours will be available all morning.
- Awards will be presented immediately following the 5K walk and run.
- We will be serving a meal after the race to all participants.

Race for Grace Place is a 5K Run and Walk raising funds to sustain Grace Place, located at Galloway United Methodist Church in Jackson, MS. We are a community that serves the needs of people who are food insecure. We have breakfast 4 days a week, provide a clothing closet, worship opportunities, and celebrations. As followers of Jesus we are striving to build unlikely friendships between housed and unhoused, well-fed and hungry, and those of varied life circumstances.
