Help Nolan raise money

Hi everyone,

My name is Nolan Gadey.   I just turned 10, and I live in Carlisle, MA with my little sister and parents and am finishing up 4th grade at the Carlisle Public School.  I love karate, building things with Lego and other materials, biking, yummy desserts, and last but not least, swimming.  I learned how to swim when I was 4 with Laura Diamond and Megan Cohen.   They are both amazing because they have helped me reach my goal of being a confident swimmer.  They invited me to join their Against the Tide Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition swim team, and this year, I said yes, because I really want to help raise money for breast cancer prevention.   I want people to be healthy, happy, and live a good life.  

I have been training for the event on June 20^th since Fall 2025 with my awesome coach, Mary Holland.  We got a swim plan from Megan and we have been swimming together 2-3 times a week in Concord MA, whenever I haven’t been sick or traveling.  Training makes me feel stronger and happier overall.   Swimming helps me take off stress, and I feel like I’m leaving all the stress from school and other things floating behind me in the pool while I swim forward.  It’s fun to swim fast, and I’m excited to swim in open water even though it’s cold.  I’m happy to be getting exercise while working on raising money for research to prevent breast cancer.
