Here at The Starfish Canada, we connect a new generation of young Canadians to nature and to each other.

Your support will create a huge impact on the lives of young leaders. Your gift will be put to use right away, supporting youth leadership across the country and ensuring that young people have the skills and resources to lead environmental action in their communities.

Since 2010, The Starfish Canada has celebrated young leaders working to create sustainable and vibrant communities. We've supported over 50,000 underserved youth to learn about environmentalism, find their voice, and launch them into their careers. As a result, we are raising the next generation of young leaders who will define what it means to care for nature and each other across Canada.

We center children & youth in our work. We commit to ensuring that our work is co-designed with youth, for youth. This means that we create an environment where youth from all backgrounds  feel they have a rightful place at the table not as guests, but as co-creators of our shared work.

We honour and celebrate how environmental connections, relationships, and heritage are expressed differently across diverse identities and lived experiences. We recognize that relationships with nature and land look different across communities. We commit to creating spaces where all of those expressions are honoured, learned from, and woven into a cultural identity that represents everyone.

We advance equity and justice across our operations, programs, and relationships. We recognize that achieving true equity requires more than equal treatment and demands intentional action to dismantle systemic barriers. We actively cultivate a culture where participants, staff, partners, and stakeholders feel empowered to raise concerns, challenge inequitable practices, and co-create solutions.
