This course is aimed at new graduate physiotherapists and those with limited acute trauma experience.
The content presented in this course will include acute trauma injury profiles and acute physiotherapy assessment and management skills.
Topics include
- An overview of trauma management and systems
- Neurological trauma
- Spinal trauma
- Bracing and orthotics
- Chest trauma
- Early rehabilitation
- Discharge planning
NOTE: The course runs over two afternoons (Tuesday 17th March and Thursday 26th March 2026 - from 1:30pm to 4:30pm)
Each afternoon covers DIFFERENT content so attendees are encouraged to attend both sessions. You can not register for just one session (i.e. the registration fee covers whether you attend one session or both sessions). The sessions are delivered "live", and will NOT be recorded (i.e. you need to "attend" during the specified times: 13:30 - 16:30 hours).
A link (via Microsoft Teams) to the seminar and a final timetable will be sent to you one week before the first session.
**Registration closes - Sunday 8th March, 2026 at 11pm**
An Advanced Trauma Physiotherapy Course is scheduled for late 2026, and attendance at this introductory course is a prerequisite.
