My Story…
I am running the Philadelpha Half Marathon in memory of my son, Logan Michael Colleran, who lost his life to the effects of congenital cytomegalovirus (cCMV) at only 4 months of age. cCMV is the leading infectious cause of birth defects, impacting 1 in 200 babies, but awareness about this virus and how to prevent it is shockingly low. I am proud to be raising money for the National cCMV Foundation, which has been an incredible supporter of the Massachusetts cCMV Coalition and our advocacy work for the newborn CMV screening and prenatal education legislation.
Description
The mission of the National CMV Foundation is to prevent pregnancy loss, childhood death, and lifelong disability caused by congenital CMV (cCMV).
Your donation directly fuels advocacy efforts that empower children and families with the education, resources, and quality care they need when facing a cCMV diagnosis.
