Help John raise money

Hi everyone! Thank you for your generosity in helping me reach my fundraising goal! Below I've written a bit more about why I am fundraising for AACR.

I am running my first marathon this year, and I'm proud to be raising money for the American Association for Cancer Research. In medical school, I learn a lot about cancers and see patients grappling with the physical and mental tribulations of their diagnosis and treatment. However, the fight against cancer is also very near and dear to my heart as it has recently touched my own family. As you may or may not know, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer around the same time that I started medical school last fall. I am eternally grateful for the countless scientists and physicians whose lives' work allowed for the understanding and treatment of my mom's diagnosis. It is because of cancer research that my mom has completed treatment and is in remission.

I hope that you will join me in supporting the AACR's lifesaving work to fund critical research that moves us all closer to a cancer-free world. I greatly appreciate any contribution that you are able to make. Thank you and Fuck Cancer!
