My Story…
I am so excited to be running my first marathon with Racing for Sustainability. A major goal of mine for 2026 was to run 26 miles the year I turn 26 - and I am determined to make that happen!
I decided to run with this team because sustainability has always been important to me. As an engineer, it is always a consideration but not often prioritized. At TAIT, I am on our sustainability committee and try to design with sustainability in mind. One of my internships in college was with the energy management team at 3M where we oversaw the energy consumption of every 3M factory and facility in the country. I saw how easy it is to miss small opportunities for energy savings that make a big difference over time.
Major races are another HUGE opportunity to make minor changes with a large impact for the environment. That is why I am looking for your support to raise money to spread awareness and grow the impact that Racing for Sustainability has started for races all around the world!
