The Binational Race San Diego Tijuana offers a unique opportunity to traverse the Half Marathon route shared between San Diego and Tijuana.
The half marathon begins its route at Las Americas in San Ysidro, proceeding along Camino de la Plaza avenue until reaching Dairy Mart Rd. At kilometer 5, participants will enjoy the natural reserves of Tijuana River Valley Park. At kilometer 10, they will experience crossing the border through the San Ysidro – El Chaparral international checkpoint.
Join over 4,000 participants running through the Border (Far Right Lane) on Freeway 5 to enter Mexico through the world’s busiest border crossing.
Following this historic crossing, participants will continue along the international route. This significant effort will be rewarded with panoramic views of San Diego and a fast 5km descent until reaching the finish line at Playas de Tijuana.
The Binational Race 2026 is part of a regional movement promoting cultural, social, academic, sports, political, and family exchanges between San Diego and Tijuana.
NOTE: You will need to present a Passport, Global Entry or Sentry Card at U.S. Customs/Border when going or returning to the U.S.
