Boys & Girls Club of the Lowcountry

Pedal Hilton Head Island has two missions, the first is to be a marquee cycling event in our Gold Level Bicycle Friendly Community. The second and most important mission is to fund programs and scholarships at the Boys & Girls Club for those kids who need us the most. Parents and caregivers can rely on the Club to provide childcare after-school and during the summer, unique learning and recreation opportunities, and a healthy source of food for their children, all of which would not be available without generous donors like you. 

The Club is a cornerstone of daily life for the children and teens that it serves daily. Many of them are from low-income families: 64% of Club Members (children) are from families living in poverty, over 70% do not have health insurance, 50% live in single-parent households and many do not have a home to call their own.

Pedal Hilton Head Island’s fundraising goal has never had higher stakes, as the world reels with uncertainty, it is more important than ever to provide stability for our members. While we never know what the future holds, donors to the Boys and Girls Club can be assured that the positive impacts of their contributions are felt daily. The Boys and Girls Club provides exceptional after-school, summer education, recreation, and other enrichment programs. Participants in the Club are given the tools to become better students and active community members.
