Volunteer details
Athlete Race Bib Pickup Support
You will be assisting our Resolution Run staff with race bib pickup which is effectively checking athletes in and directing them, as needed.
On race morning, race bib pickup is an exciting time for our athletes and helps set the tone for their 5K race. We are looking for outgoing and friendly volunteers.
Prior race knowledge is not required.
Athlete Bag Drop Support
You will be assisting our Resolution Run staff by taking bags from athletes that they will be checking with us for safekeeping as they run.
Each athlete will have received a bag check tag (that was fastened to their race bib). You will be responsible for accepting these bags and placing them into our secured bag check area. Once the run has started, you will also assist Resolution Run staff in sorting the bags by race number to make the pick up process, post run, more seamless.
On race morning, bag drop is an exciting time for our athletes, as they know their race is getting close to starting. The interaction with athletes at this time in the morning helps set the tone for their 5K race. We are looking for outgoing and friendly volunteers.
Prior race knowledge is not required.
Race Greeters
As Race Greeters, you will be positioned at the Enercare Hall D entrance on Exhibition Place grounds to direct the athletes as needed and assist our Resolution Run staff and other volunteers with various tasks as they may come up.
We encourage you to be flexible to take on any task at hand, be outgoing and friendly.
Prior race experience is not required.
Run Course Marshals
As a Run Course Marshal, you will be assisting the Race Director in the smooth operation of the run course during the race to ensure the safety (and enhance the experience) of the athletes.
This position will also ensure that “pinch point” areas are attended to, monitored and patrolled accordingly.
Prior race experience is encouraged.
If weather permits, bringing your own bike in order to get around the run course easily is encouraged.
