Be Inspired Together, Inc

Be Inspired Together is a nonprofit, created in 2022 in the post-pandemic aftermath, to provide desperately needed mental health services to individuals and families at little or no cost, reducing the financial barrier that is often prohibitive in accessing services. Participation in the program will be voluntary and anonymous.

Clients will be given:

• A comprehensive biopsychosocial evaluation is conducted as part of the intake process, allowing the client to provide background information, as well as discuss goals for treatment. Informed consent and limits of confidentiality are reviewed.

• Clinician assignment is done by the director alone, matching the client’s needs with clinician’s training (i.e.: ages working with, areas of expertise)

• Scholarship eligibility will be re-evaluated quarterly. Session frequency is clinically discussed and recommended based on need, severity of the presenting issues, as well as what commitment the client can commit to (i.e.: weekly, every other week). Treatment progress and need is reviewed every 90 days, with accordance of the Best Practices of the profession.

In addition to direct counseling services for patients, Be Inspired Together also provides broader community services such as workshops and support groups to the general public on a sliding  “pay what you can” fee scale, partnering with  local schools and community organizations for the recruitment of participants to ensure diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.

The Impact

Be Inspired Together’s goal is to allow for those with the greatest need to be able to access the appropriate level of service.  As the system currently exists, those with State-funded insurance and lower financial means are often matched with lesser trained clinicians and/or interns, which readily means high rates of turnover for these clinical staff.  These clients are then left with two options: begin a relationship with a new provider or be untreated.

Be Inspired Together would allow for all clients to  have equal access to quality services, without the predetermined risk of short-term treatment.  The team at Be Inspired Counseling would be  unaware as to which clients are receiving financial  support and will continue to provide therapeutic support until the  treatment goals have been reached, the client chooses to discontinue  services, or the Treatment Contract has been breeched.
