On August 16, ten dedicated Team Stars runners will take on the iconic Falmouth Road Race in support of South Shore Stars.

While each runner has a unique story, they all share a common goal: creating brighter futures for children and families throughout our community.

This year's team includes parents, community supporters, first-time racers, experienced runners, and individuals who have been personally inspired by the mission of South Shore Stars (Stars) and the students and families we serve. Some are running to challenge themselves. Others are running in support of a child, a family member, or a cause close to their hearts.

Together, they are raising funds and awareness to help children learn, grow, and thrive.

About South Shore Stars

For more than 50 years, South Shore Stars has provided high-quality early education, youth development programs, family support services, and specialized educational opportunities that help children and families thrive.

With regional hubs in Quincy, Randolph, and Weymouth, South Shore Stars serves more than 1,300 children and families annually from 23 communities across the South Shore, Greater Boston, and surrounding regions. Through a continuum of programs spanning infancy through adolescence, Stars helps children build strong foundations for learning, develop confidence, strengthen social-emotional skills, and gain the support they need to succeed in school and in life.

About the Stars School & Learning Center

The Stars School is a nonprofit school serving students with dyslexia and other language-based learning differences. Through specialized, evidence-based instruction, small class sizes, and a highly supportive learning environment, the school helps students build confidence, strengthen academic skills, and rediscover the joy of learning. 

As part of South Shore Stars' commitment to ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed, the Stars School provides individualized support that empowers students to reach their full potential both inside and outside the classroom.
