My Story…
"This year, I’m running the Falmouth Road Race for the first time in over 13 years. This time I have a goal to raise money for a great local non-profit and to enjoy running again.
Pleasant Bay Community Boating (PBCB) is an amazing organization that provides boating and marine science education to everyone, regardless of financial or physical barriers. I believe in this mission and actually stepped into a full-time development role here back in May. Now, I’m lacing up my running shoes to put my body on the line for PBCB.
Admittedly times have changed and running 7 miles seemed much easier 13 years ago. When I last ran this event in 2013 it was to show my children how running can be a healthy and fun habit. All of my 3 daughters (two are shown in the profile picture from 2013) have grown up running and are significantly better runners than I ever was..so check that box. So this time I'm running to show them how they can use running as a way to help others.
Every dollar helps us make the PBCB programs accessible to all.
Thank you so much for helping me reach my goal!"
