My Story…
In 2024 I decided I wanted to start running more than just my annual turkey trot. Over the past 2 years I have continuously challenged myself to run farther and more often. This year, I am excited to challenge myself with the Falmouth Road Race. At 7 miles, it will be the longest race I’ve ever run. While I’ve completed 10Ks before, this iconic race feels like a meaningful next step, and I’m excited to train and take it on for the first time.
I’m proud to be running for Team Marisa’s Mission, an organization created to honor the life and legacy of Marisa, an extraordinary woman from Braintree, Massachusetts who was deeply dedicated to her family, career, and community. In 2013, at just 35 years old, Marisa was diagnosed with stage IV, triple-positive breast cancer. Despite her diagnosis, she continued to live with strength, optimism, and grace, inspiring everyone around her.
Since 2016, Marisa’s Mission has supported cancer patients and their families by helping ease financial stress so they can focus on what matters most: their health and their family.
To participate in the Falmouth Road Race, I am committing to raising $2,000, and I would be grateful for your support. Every donation helps continue Marisa’s legacy and makes a real difference for families facing cancer.

Marisa's Mission is dedicated to providing financial assistance to patients who are battling cancer. Marisa's Mission has awarded over $1.6 million in grants, helping with transportation to treatments, home assistance, patient and family support, medication, medical equipment, special family trips, caregiving, oncofertility, and alternative therapies.
