Help Melissa raise money

Alex and Melissa first met in 2010 at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta while visiting Matt after his spinal cord injury. Alex is Matt’s cousin, so supporting the spinal cord injury community has been close to her heart ever since Matt's accident. Melissa has known Matt since he was little. Her brother, Mark, and Matt have been best friends for as long as she can remember, making Melissa the older sister Matt never asked for but has somehow been stuck with all these years.

Years later, we reconnected in 2021 while helping plan a marathon fundraiser for the Foundation. While planning that event, we realized we made a pretty great team, and we've been working together ever since. We currently serve side by side on the Board of the Matt Brown Foundation, helping raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to support individuals and families affected by paralysis. 

This year we decided its time step out of our comfort zone behind the scenes and participate in one of the fundraising events that we help to coordinate each year. Are we runners? Absolutely not. Are we questioning our decision? 1000%. But one thing we know for certain is that we are committed  to crossing that finish line while raising funds for a cause that has been such a big part of our lives.
