My Story…
I’m running for more than just a finish line — I’m running for a fight that has touched my heart in multiple ways.
I chose to take on this challenge to support Haymakers for Hope and their mission to knock out cancer, but my motivation is deeply personal. This run is for my dad — for every appointment, every worry, every moment where strength had to outweigh fear. Watching someone you love face cancer changes you, and it makes every mile mean something bigger than yourself.
At the same time, I’m also running in support of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). Neuromuscular diseases impact entire families, and I want my effort to represent hope not only for one cause, but for all families fighting battles they never asked for.
Every training day, every early morning, and every sore muscle is a reminder that I’m able to move — and that ability is a privilege. So I run for those who can’t, for those still fighting, and for the future where better treatments and cures exist.
This isn’t just a physical challenge.
It’s personal.
It’s purposeful.
And every step is for my dad, for families battling muscular dystrophy, and for anyone facing a diagnosis that changed their life overnight.
