My Story…
Hi everyone!!
I am so happy to announce I’m running the Falmouth Road Race for the Lupus Foundation of New England. Lupus is an autoimmune disease where the immune system attacks the healthy tissues in the body. Instead of only fighting infections, the body begins causing inflammation in different parts of itself. This can lead to joint pain and swelling, extreme fatigue. Lupus can also affect internal organs such as the kidneys, heart, lungs, and brain. Symptoms often come and go in periods called flares. For those of you who know me personally I was diagnosed with lupus in 2022. It has challenged and changed my life in significant ways. I never thought I’d be healthy enough to run again. I’m so excited to able to have this opportunity and to raise money for such an amazing cause.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey.
