Welcome to my 2026 ASICS Falmouth Road Race Page!
For as long as time, Brianna and Dani have been best friends. From NSU Soccer, to the Governor's Academy, to St Lawrence, and now living in South Boston, minutes apart from each other, we have become family. 2 summers ago, we decided to start our August tradition of running the Falmouth Road Race in honor of Ara Aftandilian (Dani's dad) for the National Brain Tumor Society. We are back and ready to conquer it again.
As a kid, Dani would always watch her dad run in the Falmouth road race, but was never able to run with him. Seven years ago, he was diagnosed with glioblastoma, which is an aggressive, terminal brain cancer. His diagnosis never stopped him from running every day whether it was with his children or by himself. He ran multiple marathons, including the Boston Marathon. He and his wife ran the Falmouth Road race when they first started dating, and Ara continued to run until the time of his diagnosis. After his first surgery in June 2019, he waited six weeks to the day when he had the green light to go for a run. And he did. He was never able to run Falmouth again as he passed in August 2021, but it is our honor to carry on Ara's legacy and run in his place for the third time. 100% of the money goes to the National Brain Tumor Society to help prevent and cure diseases like GBM.
